Setting the Standard for HVAC Technician Training

There are a lot of heating and cooling contractors offering service in the Metro Atlanta area, and legally, all of them just need a Georgia State Conditioned Air License to perform heating and cooling service and installation.

But Bartlett Heating and Cooling believes our customers deserve more than the bare minimum. After all, having a driver’s license doesn’t make you a good driver. That’s why every Bartlett service and installation technician is NATE Certified, giving you the assurance that your technician is well qualified and trained to deliver the best technical service available.

What is NATE?

Founded in 1997, North American Technician Excellence (NATE) is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration technicians. Headquartered in Arlington, VA, NATE is governed, owned, operated, developed, and supported by the entire HVAC/R industry.

Bartlett is a Quality Circle C3 Contractor

NATE HVAC/R Quality Circle Contractors are the elite group of NATE contractors, meaning at least 80 percent of our total technicians are NATE-certified. In fact, the only time Bartlett ever has a non-NATE certified technician on staff is while they’re simply waiting for the next testing date. Every Bartlett technician is required to become NATE Certified within their first year of employment, though most earn it within their first 3 to 6 months.

Staying NATE Certified

To maintain their NATE Certification, technicians must log at least 60 hours of NATE-accredited training every 5 years. For Bartlett technicians, that’s never an issue. Our team completes well over 40 hours of training every single year.
